Questo set di scacchi Staunton sembra vero legno ma in realtà è realizzato con un materiale brevettato a base di resina chiamato Spruce Tek. È fatto per avere un aspetto simile al molto più costoso palissandro cremisi che va dal nero quasi al rosso intenso. I pezzi sono grandi e pesanti e presentano un design tradizionale Staunton con un cavallo realizzato splendidamente. La resina Spruce Tek produce un'elegante finitura lucida e i pezzi hanno una base feltrata in similpelle nera.
