Description

In 1960, Tal an Botvinnik squared off to play a match for the world championship. In the first game Botvinnik defended with the French defense and got crushed. Realizing that the complexities of the french suited Tal's style admirably, Botvinnik switched to the solid Caro-Kann and in general did quite well in the opening.

In this book, Jeremy Silman gives some valuable advice for all Caro-Kann players.
