200 tactical puzzles grouped into 12 chapters. Most are checkmates, but Hodgson doesn't tip his hand with anything other than "White to play and win" and so forth.

These are fairly challenging, more suitable for an 1800 than a 1400. They also become more difficult as the book goes on. Hodgson has his own scoring and rating system
